I am a mathematics graduate student at the Open University but have always been passionate about art. Here I have combined these two disciplines, transforming the given image via an inversion of a small section of it. This transformation is just one example of a much wider class of mathematical functions, known as Mobius transformations, all of which map straight lines to circles, but preserve the angles at which lines meet.
